Versions would be the handiest knives about because they can always only remain in a pocket, waiting to be used. Sheath blades are handier only when you bring a sheath blade in your person constantly, and most of us can’t do that. Traditional directory forms such as the stockman, trapper, copperhead, peanut, and congress will also be excellent options. The stockman and the trapper would be the favorites among these for wilderness use, but each is good. Event, GEC, Boker, and King are some organizations that produce excellent standard knives. If cheaper options are required, check out Hard Rider and Metal Warrior. Neither of the organizations produce blades as effective as others mentioned, but they’re very cheap and good quality.

For a newer “tactical” model, Benchmade, Spyderco, Cool Steel, and Kershaw produce cheap to averagely high priced, but good quality, knives. Benchmade could be the top of the line so far as these blades go. Their Griptilian is a fantastic knife at a little below $100. Quarry did precisely what I needed it to accomplish, till I lost it. The Rukus is just a huge file that was lately stopped, but a great knife. Spyderco also makes great knives. The Delica and Endura are the most popular and best known. The Spyderco Tenacious is really a Chines-made knife that is obtaining a great status for a working knife. Kershaw and Cool Metal produce slightly cheaper blades, and Kershaw particularly has a good reputation.
